Not satisfied to just generate training content, every one of our trainers incorporates at least a little something new. Our customers have continually found that our creative approach has averted obsolescence in their product.
For instance, our TISP trainer (1993-1995) presented for the first time targeting analyses and imagery in an operational trainer format. The result was immediate acceptance by the Marine Corps users. Likewise, our original CDNU trainer (1993) contained, for the first time, a flight simulator integrated with a tutorial.
We are still using the same concept to separate our offering from the typical training formats. In our Optical Sight System Training Aid (OSSTA) (1999) we put a real-time visual imagery simulation, with a real-time video tracker, on a PC. Overlaid on the imagery was a complex selection menu. We developed our own generic LogicStates™ technology so that we could present "challenges" to the trainee. These challenges differentiate the simulation-based training experience from passive button pushing to active problem-solving.Moreover, the LogicStates™ engine is re-usable on future trainers.
Periodic enhancements of our flexCBT™ development environment include student tracking for our web-based offerings. Student tracking is a fundamental feature that leads to important technology developments in team training and instructor-aided CBT.
